2. General information
We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) GDPR (consent, performance of a contract, legal obligation or legitimate interest).
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by a provider in Germany (ALL-INKL.com – Neue Medien Münnich). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
4. Server log files
When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically stores information in server log files (e.g. browser type, operating system, referrer URL, time of access and the IP address). This data is used for technical security and error analysis. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
5. Cookies
We only use technically necessary cookies: a session cookie (PHP session) to manage your login and a cookie to store your language preference (DE/EN). No consent is required for these under applicable law. We do not use tracking or marketing cookies.
6. Registration
When you create an account, we process the data you provide (name or hostel name, email address, password in encrypted form). This data is required to establish and carry out the user relationship (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR).
7. Job listings, candidate profiles and uploads
Content you submit yourself (job listings, candidate profiles, logos, photos, CVs) is stored and displayed publicly or only to signed-in employers depending on the feature. Contact details and CVs are only visible to signed-in employers. The legal basis is your consent through actively submitting the content (Art. 6 (1)(a) and (b) GDPR). Please do not submit special categories of personal data (Art. 9 GDPR).
8. Email
To deliver system emails (e.g. password reset) we process your email address. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.
9. Retention
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and submitted content at any time.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
